Is it safe to leave a lipo charged for a short time (day or two)? I like to put a charge on it at night the day before so when I get home from work I can take it for a run, but I want to make sure it wont hurt the battery. Thanks

Yep, it's OK.

I work 4 days on, 3 days off. I usually fly my 3 days. I charge every off day and after the last day. I then peak charge my LIPOs my first off day, just to make sure they are topped off.

You don't want to charge lipo unattended.

Ben, I don't charge unattended. I do it in the evenings but not overnight.

You shouldn't need to peak charge to top up Lipos - they don't loose charge on storage as Nicads.

Flightpower do recommend long term storage of Lipos at 3.4V per cell - but they don't say what constitutes long term.

I believe that leaving a flat lipo over time can ruin it, and having them fully charged means that they are more pron to swelling or catching fire and so when half charged the cells are not so dangerous. Thats what i think anyway, so dont quote me on that :)
