please drill an alignment hole in the frames so we can without hassle get perfect bellcrank/servo setup on cyclic. a simple hole that represents where the final ball(the one leading to the swash) needs to be for everything to lined up perfect. go one step further and offer a little plastic alignment stop that you snap into the hole that holds the bellcrank in the correct position for setting up the pushrods.

thanks

Thats a pretty damn good idea.

glad someone likes it...
my same post on RR got hijacked by some angry Avant believers..unblieveable.

It would be so easy for Align to add just two more holes(one for both aileron cranks and one for elevator) to the program for cutting the side frames. Was thinking about this some more and the holes could be just off set a little so you can slide a 3mm hex screw driver through the holes in both frames and then the bellcranks just rest on top of the screwdriver shaft...simple and no need for any more setup tools.

I had a 600 with custon heli parts frame set and it had the same deal. It made setup EZ

Yes! the two pre-production kit that we got, it had hole for bell/crank servo line up already! it's very easy for you guys to level the all cyclic servo!

Glad to hear about the set up hole. But please don't use those colors (blue and white). How about a nice bright flow color. Or matching 600n shcemes.:smokin:

I doubt Align will change the paint/canopy scheme. Im pretty sure most of them are already done so they are not going to scrap them. We will just have to paint our own

T-Rex 700E using 2 x 6S should be very nice.

Align has already stated that they have no plans to make a 700 Electric...

Yes, but if we insist, they will perhaps change their minds

I think thats ridiculous.

Its like Bmw introduces a new model with just gasoline engine and no diesel.

Align: accept that e-power are here to stay.
There are thousands of people that just sits and wait for a 700 e-version for our AP work, and that incl me, we can already achieve 15-20 min flight time with batteries, so whats the problem?

I use A123 cells 12s 4600mah on my Maxi Joker 2, you can charge them in just 13 mins with 20 amps, and still be able to recharge them at least 500 times (1000-1200 times of you charge optimally) If you penetrate them you will barely see some smoke coming out, no danger at all, check out the video here:

It actually doesn't cost more than fuel if you calculate it, not for 3D flying, but still...

So Align get your a.... out of the sofa and increase the sale on 700 with at least 50% ;)

It should be EXTREMELY easy for Align to make the "true" E-version of the 700 and increase their sale. They could drop the power system and let it be up to end user to decide:thumbup:. Or they could co-operate Kontronik as they do with OS. That would simply be quite perfect. Maybe enough dreaming by now.........
Where to go next for Align:confused:. Now they have the full line of products, except a 30 size. But as for 60 size, the 30 is to fade out and slowly die. Of course they can have new upgrade versions/SE editions and flybarless conversions, but a "new" model would always attract people more.

I dont think align will make the 700E. As said above, they have already said they have no plans on making one. Ofcourse this could change but although there is a demand for it by people here and on other boards, that demand isnt high enough to offset the total cost of designing it and then all the money that goes into producing it and packaging it. I know many here will try to say thats not true or say that there is a demand but thats coming from the guys that really do want one and hope that if they say something on the board that align will listen. They are a business first.. they want to make money. They are not going to put money and invest time designing something that will not bring in a good size profit when they could spend their resources on making something with a much higher demand that will bring them a bigger profit. The demand for a 700E isnt high enough, not as high as the 700N. Also, i think align really tries to target alot of incoming people to the hobby. Ofcourse almost everyone in the hobby new and old has atleast something from align, i believe they still try to target alot of new people that are looking for something easy to get that is not expensive to fly. With that in mind, how many times have you been flying your 600E and some one says thats cool and asks about it. When you tell them the battery costs around $300, how twisted does their face get? Now imagine you told them the cost for battery was $500-600.. that would really turn them off. If battery costs drop, then I think align would go after a 700E market but right now there is not enough demand although there is some that want it. There are already a few 90 size electrics out there so if you really needed one, they are available.

magicmalik19;

I agree with your last post!! Align know people on this forum and other would like to have the 700E, but they have to look at the big picture. Lets face it, they are out to make money, bottom line!! For the cost of one of my 6S pack for the 600E, I can buy 12 gallon of 30% helimix nitro for my 600N and thunder tiger 30 raptor. Now I know the 90 size eat through fuel like its water. I have a 90 size plank and a gallon of nitro don't last long. This is going to be a winner for Align!!!!

With that said. Align were is my 700N!!!!!!

Correct, Align have stated that they have no plans........

It would not be the extreme cost to release the 700E for Align. Most of the engineering is already done on the 700N. Packing cost ? Most of the parts are also all round to fit both the N and E.

People coming asking about flying ours stuff normally think its a play toy to 100$ maximum. If you tell them the true cost of any 90 machine, they will think you`re joking anyway;). Only truly interested people will invest in a 90 size, whatever type of power source available

All in all you are probably very right in your predictions though
