Looking into maybe trying a Logo 600 for AP. Mainly for hauling a mini-pro mount. Looking for into on what motor and battery configuration to run. 10S and what mah size. I am curently using a T600E on 6S and am looking for longer flight times and possible running a longer blade than a 600. Whats the longest blades you can use safely on the stock Logo 600 3d. It says on thier website that blade size is up to 650mm. And probably this is the wrong forum to ask this in, but, what is the difference between the Logo 600 3D and DX?

I dont know anything about the Logos, but what are you doing tomorrow? I'm bringing both of my stretched 10s birds out to Kawainui in the morning. Hit me up if you are gonna be around :D
:edit:
Sorry brah :D I thought you were on Oahu...

Hrmmn, I wish I had offers like that.. Only have plankers around me.
Would love to see someone that knows what they're doing, do what they do!

I just replaced my rex 600's with a logo 600 3D. Won't go back. I am still running 600mm radix blades and have tried a set of NHP 620's with no real noticable difference. I am running the tango 45-08 but for strictly AP work I would likely look into the 45-07 next time. The 45-08 on 13 tooth pinion is still running 2100 - 2300 on the head. I am waiting on the 12 tooth pinion and it should be a bit better. I would like to see 1900 for ap and longer flight times. I haven't gone flybarless yet and this would also help. I hope to have a set of 650's soon as well to try out.
A friend of mine steched out his to run 690's and it flew like the earth repelled it. This would be optimal for hanging a few pounds of camera below but I don't know what the long term effects are with the longer blades. I know that the stock bolts bent right away.
I would expect to get approx 10 minutes on a 5350 evolite pack doing AP work but my 5350 packs haven't come in yet.
As far as the difference between 3D and DX. Get the 3D. Has upgraded parts on it and worth the little bit extra. You will have enought tied up in the heli to do it properly I wouldn't cheap out on anything. Flybarless is a nice upgrade but can wait if you are on a budget like I was and the flybar version is just fine.

What type of battery are your running? 6S or 10S? 10 minute flight times would be very nice, but, even 8 minuts would be a big imporvement. My Trex 600 on 6S got about 4 minutes hauling around a mini-pro and HC3, and when shooting videos, it aint much. My last video job forv a local commercial caught me off guard. The video director was saying "take 1, take 2, 3, 4 , 5, etc", and I was running out of charged packs. I wish I still had my Gasser. I see where Gasser's would be very beneficial.

I run a Logo 3D with Radix 690 blades hauling an Askman 360 and Nikon D70.
LOTS of lifting power on 8S 5350 via the Tango 45-08 and everything stays nice and cool. I use hardened steel long shank blade bolts and haven't experienced any adverse effects with a headspeed of 1750.

Just starting in AP and am successfully flying a Trex 450 - am just researching the best ap ship and particularly interested in what sort of lifting power is available from different helis. Would I be right in saying that you need a 600 size minimum for light Digital SLRs like the D70? and is your motor on the Logo3d a stock one or upgraded? And when you increase the blade size are you making Heli longer at the same time?

uluaz,
First off I want to apologize. Guess I never checked this thread to respond. I am running 10s on a tango 45-08. 600mm radix blades.
thecadman,
Stock Logo will run 650's just fine. I have run 620's on mine and at 2200 on the head I didn't notice much difference but I wasn't carrying a camera mount at the time either. I will do some flights with the camera gear and the 620's one day but haven't yet. I know 2200 is much more than is needed for ap but I like the crispness of the heli at that speed. You will need to replace grip bolts with ones that have shank all the way through the blades to run that head speed with anything more than 600's as I know that my 600's will bend the bolts a bit. As far as lifting capabilites I use a light mount with a Cannon A640 so haven't done anything with heavier loads. With that in mind I used the exact same mount with my T-rex 600's and the logo flies as if it is much lighter with the same amount of weight under it. IMHO it should lift a pound or 2 extra. I used the same radix blades on both helis. I ran the rex at 1900 most of the time but have tried it up to 2250, with stock motor and esc it seemed to run better at 1900. Logo likes 2200 and likely adds to the lifting ability.
