Some of you may know I've been in the market for a .90 for some time now. The sheer variety of heli's in this size makes choosing difficult but I knew I did not want another Align product. No offense, I know most Freaks love their Rexies, and I'm happy enough with the 4 I own now that their various shortcomings have been addressed. But I really wanted to try a "quality" brand. I had narrowed it down to the Stratus, Vibe, and Freya, and wasn't really in any big rush to dive in to any of 'em.
Well, I got sent to Wyoming on a biz trip and when I arrived home yesterday (which also happened to be my b-day) I nearly tripped over the huge box containing a shiny new giant scale P51. I know, it's a plank. (cough cough, fart mumble mumble) Always wanted one though. But right next to that in a slighty smaller box was a brand spankin' new Freya! :banana
I guess for all her complaining about my "toys" the wifey really must not mind them so much after all! Of course I'm on my own as far as the engine and electronics goes, but hey, that's part of the fun, right?
I've only had a brief chance to look thru the manual but I wanted to warn you Hirobo guys that I'll probably be here a lot pestering you with stupid questions.

So be prepared.

Welcome to the club. I saw your post on my Freya build thread and I'm glad that you went that route. Several helicopter hobbyist are not really too much on Hirobo helis since because the price are a bit steep, but the quality behind their products are the utmost. I too have own several of Align products (450 and 600E) and I both enjoyed them, but it's totally different once I got to the Hirobo. It a totally different playing field and experience. Parts are at the utmost quality and they fit together like a hand-to-a-glove. No plastic flashes on their plastic mold and parts are top. Hirobo is quality not quantity. I'm saving more dough $$$ on their upcoming Freya Evo OPII SWM 90. It's not the new 3D, but it's the same type of heli Mr. Dominik Haegle used on the 2007 3D Masters. That will be my next one. I'm hooked on Hirobo lol

It really was your thread that got me interested, and even though I haven't started building yet it's quite apparent looking through the bags of parts that this heli is most definitely a cut above. I was initially a bit concerned about plastic frames but there's no way the thin CF frames I'm used to are any stronger than these bad boys!
Also, it looks like the entire heli can be built without engine or electronics as those items can be added later without any disassembly-so maintenance should be a breeze.
Can't wait to get started!

I'm glad you're happy with your Freya. Now for the build, that's exactly how I started. I built the heli first and added the "guts" i.e. engine and electronics later. Well, it's your turn now to do the build. Take pictures of your new baby for we all like to see how it looks and see the process. In the event that you needed extra parts or parts upgrade for your Freya, HeliProz and HeliProz South have most of the Freya parts available and good price too. Good luck.
