hey guys, just looking for a heli club near knoxville, tn. I would like a club that doesn't discriminate against helis, you know how some clubs are when your the only heli pilot there, there all like "here he comes again", lol.

The club in Sevierville is heli friendly. It may be worth a ride and talk to a few folk out there and get some contacts.

TMOORE I believe is in Clarksville, TN area, you may try him.
Other than that, try the helifreak locator. If you have need to be around Lexington, KY I'd suggest Blake McBrayer and Havoc.

Its on Rutledge Pike just before Branville Rd, which is where M&N Hobbies is located. Great hobby shop. Carries blade parts. Great guys in there.

How would be the best way to get a little help? I have a TREX SE v2 I bought used, and am having some trouble getting everything set up just right. I have it together, it spools up, everything seems to move in the correct direction, but it just won't take off- then acts kind of weird. Should I just show up at M&N or the flying field to get some help, or call first?
Thanks,
Brian

well brian, i looked at some of your posts and i guess you got her flying well. thats cool. i'd love to see it. if you go to M&N, i guess you should know that it offers no TREX parts, although bill will order them for you. also, there isn't much support for it there in terms of trouble shooting or setup. the older guys there don't fly, and the young guy flys a B400. he can help you some. however, I'm sure they can point you to someone that has some proficiency at setup and tweaking.
where abouts are you in knoxville? are you close to the TN takeoffs on rutledge pike? its a pretty good field. i try to go about once a week. perhaps we can meet up there sometime. i'd be real interested in seeing you fly that SE! maybe we can get a couple others here in knoxville to meet up too!

The Volunteer Aeromodellers club is heli friendly. There are a few us there that fly heli's fairly regularly there. They are located not too far from Knoxville Center Mall. Their website is http://www.vam.hostrocket.com
