Hello,
I'm new to this forum and I am also an owner of a mini titan E325. I'm was thinking of buying a scorpion 2221-8 motor. But I am not sure which pinion will be the best chioce. I need to buy another esc for this motor because I don't think that the standard esc will work fine. Read on this forum an review of someone breaking the esc with this motor. I saw that the scorpion manufactors have there on esc. They come without governor mode but read to be working very well. I saw the video in one off these reviews of someone flying with the scorpion setup. Now is my qeustion if it is good to invest in this esc or go for the expencive one the CC45?

Are there mini titan flyers with the scorpion setup and how do they like the performance? Flying time? Temprature of the motor and esc?

I am flying light 3D manouvers but I'm still learing.

Chris

Chris, I have recently purchased scorpion HK2221-8 V2 and am currently running it on my Mini T. I use Hyperion 35A ESC which is fantastic, packs a bunch of useful features (such as switching BEC, lipo alarm, and excellent governor).

I can say that scorpion has lots of power, but I haven't pushed the limits since I'm not very experienced.
I am using 11T pinion with the governor mode, Flightpower 2500 3s packs, and get 6mins 30 secs of mild flying discharging the battery to about 25%. Be sure to upgrade to CF blades, as the stock ones are very inefficient and flex making the heli less stable. I currently use Rotortechs 320mms but also have some cosmetically flawed Radix 325. Scorpion is warm to the touch after the flight, while stock motor was so hot it actually melted the canopy screen once. The stock motor gave me about 7:30 mins of flight vs 6:30 with scorpion.
