Blade grip thickness?

I’m working on an Air Skipper 50. On the blade grips, they tend to pinch down towards the blade and it doesn’t look right to me, it leaves a noticeable gap. When tightened, shouldn’t the blade grips be parallel to the mounting plate on the blade? The kit calls for 14mm blades and I have 12mm. There are two rubber washers in the grips but there not thick enough and they don’t clamp down square. Do I need to get 14mm thick blades or can I use spacers here? Can I make them from a common material or do I need to order a set?

theyre called shims .. helidirect or ushobbysupply should have them in the blades section ..
