heading hold gyro problem

i recently put an e flite heading hold gyro on my king II and it seems to working pretty well except for the fact that it slowly turns to the left (counter clockwise). it takes about 30 seconds of hovering without touching the rudder stick for it to make a complete 360 (CCW).

another weird thing is if i flip the switch to normal rate mode, the helicopter will turn CCW even faster. i trimmed to the right so that it would hold steady in rate mode, but when i flip it back to HH mode, it will spin to the right (clockwise)
any ideas on what it could be? i'm using the original 2.4 radio (non programmable) if it makes any difference.

dont use trim in rate.mode. move rudder servo in direction you need to stop the spinning with trim centered.once you got rate mode locked in it makes it easier for heading hold to work more efficent.yea just noticed the date
