I've been wanting to convert my 600n to vbar. I was waiting to see how the sk360 played out first.

I've also sold one of my helis and im currently short 1 gyro for my 500

I plan on using the mikado conversion to keep geometry right.

does the vbar suffer from the low headspeed unstable landings ? i'm getting better at auto's but i'm using up alot of hs at the ends. Will the vbar cause tipovers on me ?

is the gyro similar to a 611 in performance ? constant piro rate ? i'm running 401's right now and the piro rate is noticable to me now.

has anyone done a 8v 8717 setup through a vbar ? i assume you would have to reg the tail servo

any other things that may be of interest

Thanks , martin :)

I'm running the Vbar on my 600N, and love it. I tried the SK360 (on a small electric before putting it on the 600N) and couldn't get it to behave, so it went back to the manufacturer.

The SK360 wanted to kill the heli on takeoff, it kept makign it go one direction or the other, even with their solution to not touch the cyclic during takeoff. My Vbar I can takeoff exactly like before and use cyclic into the wind. The Vbar is simple, take offs and landings are the same as with a flybarred heli, and autos are better, it has more energy at the end. The only difference on landing with a low headspeed is the heli is still VERY responsive and doesn't lose authority like a flybarred head, so I have my radio set ot drop the DR to 70% when I hit throttle hold. It's still a bit more responsive at the end of an auto than with a flybar, but it's not much of a difference and only took 2 autos before it didn't feel any different.

The tail gyro is better than a 611, the piro rates are more consistent, and it holds better, I think it is because it uses revo mixing in the Vbar to automatically give rudder inputs when you stab the collective instead of waiting for the yaw and then correcting like a normal gyro.

Haven't used the 87171s, I use 9451s and it's awesome, I have read of people using the 8717s without issue, may want to do a search.

The only other thing I can tell you is don't get a V-bar, if you do you'll be like me wanting to buy one for every heli you own. That really adds up!

Thanks for the reply.

can the vbar run the 9254 servo ? I'll get a 9256 one day or a bls251.
