I have my 600 here and just repaired it after a crash (1st time).
I replaced the main shaft and it looks to run smooth, yet even without the main blades on it starts to wobble (entire heli not the shaft) just when the RPMs get turning enough. The only way I could get it to drastically be reduced was to move my flybar one way to offset the imbalance somewhere.
It's frustrating :arggg: when I need smooth heli for AP HD video. It works right now but flies funny and I need to get this figured out.
I think I'll try to remove the flybar and just use a short piece from a bent one and try to narrow the imbalance down somehow. Maybe even remove the tail also?
It's odd that at such a low RPM it starts to shake.

I am going to purchase a new kit because I need another anyways... where's the best and cheapest place to get a base kit?

Also, I don't see how it can be a feathering shaft at such a low RPM.

Thanks for your time!
Scott
Oh, I did get some HD video and it's going to be awesome when I get this thing really going! :banana

I take it you mean a Trex 600?

I find the best way is to remove everything (including the head and tail) from the heli and add components one by one to see which component is causing the problem. Once you find what it is, replace it with a new one.

Having said that I'm still trying o sort out my own vibe issues.

Yes vibrations problems can be a right pain in the !@&^ to track down .... but as Griffo said, the best way is to strip everything down until it's just the tail rotor shaft and main shaft sticking out of the tail boom / chassis and slowly add components (start on the tail) until the vibration starts to appear ....

Weigh parts like the rotor blades, paddles, tail rotor blades as accurately as you possible can, and (for the rotor blades) ensure their centres of gravity are in the same blade on each blade ....

Just takes a lotta patience I'm afraid!

Good luck :)
