Hello
Soon i'm going to put together my Logo 14 with 10s 3700mAh battery pack, wide 560mm blades and still cant decide which one of Z50A motors to put in it - 600 or 800kv version?
I heard that gearing in L14 often strips under heavy load. Will getting lower kv motor(600kv) with larger pinion help here? I would like to have as much power as possible without being afraid of stripping gears in flight.
Also what is the tooth count on main gear and pinion included in the kit?
Do You have any suggestions?
Thanks

I have the actro which I think is a 570. Go for the mod 1 gearing, and you should be fine. The 600 leaves you open for future 12s, so that would be my choice.
Off course, you could also wait for the Scorpion H40 motors. Now that I would do above the z-power motor.

Mod 1 gearing you can get from I think the logo 16/20 or something. And some Century Swift gearing as well is the same I think. As for pinions, you'll have to shop around for mod 1 pionions. Century Swift has the MOD1 pinions as well.
As for which motor has the most power, no idea mate. Sorry.

Maybe i'm just thinkering too much but will 780kv motor on 10s battery pack hold 30000rpms without heating too much and destroying bearings?
Since Z-power Z50 is a 8 pole motor probably any ESC will keep up with it but i not sure if it wont blow apart:rolleyes:
I still can't decide if i should buy 600 or 780kv version. 600kv will allow bigger pinion which should eliminate gear stripping problems on 0.7mod.
I'm not going to use governor, just fixed throttle curve so i dont need any rpms reserve.
I just need to know if 600kv version with right gearing would give me same amount of power that 780kv gives..Anyone?
Thanks for help
I read a post saying that the 600kv is not as good a motor as the 780kv. I only have the 780kv so I can't comment from personal experience.
If you search around you should find the post. It was either here or the otherR forum.

Thanks, no more questions here, i'm going to order 780kv version:)
BTW what are the logo 14 battery tray/cage dimensions? What is the width of frames and max height(form bottom plate to mainshaft?)
