When is a power supply needed?

I'm so confused here. I have the stock E-Flight 3c charger that came with the Blade and would like to buy the Cellpro 4s charger. Thing is, I don't understand what powers the unit when charging in the house. Do I buy a standard AC adapter from Radio Shack or some big power supply? I don't understand which to use for indoor charging or 12v field charging.

You will need to get an AC -> DC power supply to charge indoors. I think FMA sells power supplies that they recommend for the 4S and 10S chargers.
