Almost felt like I was missing something today--walk out to the field -- set the heli on the ground-- pull the rope and go fly. Pretty nice not having to lug around all the extra stuff that glow helis require ( but I'm still not gonna quit flying my Raptor ). Finally got the first gallon run thru the motor and just trying to get the pitch/throttle curves like I wanted. Got the canopy painted up and fitted so it was time to put this bird in the air. I think I ran about 5 tanks out just doing laps around the field with the occassional stall turn just for kicks . There wasn't a soul at the field but me but I'm pretty sure I was grinning the whole time-- this Bergen EB flies pretty good-even in 15-20 mph gusts that kept changing direction . After a little more time on the motor so I can be sure it's broken in good it'll be time to add a governor and jump into some loops and rolls . If I can get time I'll post some pics of the canopy to see what everyone thinks about my rattle can paint job . If it's not raining and I can sneak out from under my wife's radar I might have to go flying again tomorrow

Here's a few pictures of my rattle-can paint job--not professional by any means but highly visible and easy to do. The Bergen makes the Raptor 50 look kinda small.

Send them on--as long as you don't mind if they have a couple of extra holes drilled in them--just too lazy to fill them back in

Your not kidding that it make the Rappy 50 look small. I just posted whether or not I should get the EB or the Regular Intrepid gasser........Wow! Bigger is Better!! WOOT!

terrybeb---I'm by no means an expert builder or flier but this was a really easy heli to build--as a matter of act it was the second heli i've built from a kit. The first was a Trex 450 SE and i'd much rather build another Bergen than another Trex---too many small screws to fool with. Another REALLY BIG thing is Chris Bergen is ALWAYS willing to help with any problems. It flies really big and stable as an EB and if I want to change things up a little and go to the shorter version it's only a few part changes. I'm thinking of getting all the parts for the shorter version--build and install them and just fly whatever version I'm in the mood for ( or better yet just get another entire heli as the standard version )

Now you're thinking!;)
No matter what anyone says...Size does matter. Bigger is better.:)
