I just looked at the Phoenix site. This sim looks great!! I have the cheap FLS thing and thought it was good enough - till now.
Will my TX6i work for this? Or even the box that came with the FLS?
I have a notion that if I keep following LockMD and HeliMix around the forum they are going to wind up costing me mucho $$.
Thanks LockMD/HeliMix:noteworthy

You're welcome, glad I could be of help. ;)
But if you want someone to blame it on, blame it on Otto or Murf... It has to be their fault.

Yeah, a typo, DX6i. What about the cable...?
Let me be sure about this, you guys sent your credit card number to England to buy the Phoenix? I have always hesitated to let mine get in a foreign country.

Did I? cant remember if they used pay pal or not......either way I felt safe in doing so. When you order it will ask you what cable you want spektrum/JR is the default.

Well, I suppose the Gaui can wait awhile longer to get its servos:( Maybe I can find a Finless video that explains how to rig it with just one servo for the tail and forget about having three more up front. They seem to get me in trouble anyway...

Yes, the default cable is the one you want. I checked out their site some and from all I can see it is secure. It will take four days to arrive for $5.00 US. Not a bad deal at all.
Tower hobbies is the exclusive NA distributor of phoenix....... but they are also basically the company that makes RealFlight. They will not restock so you aint going to be buying it on this side of the pond.

Sure Al, you can fly with us. There is a membership fee that must be paid to ME in cash to fly with us (how much does a 600 cost?). :YeaBaby: Joking of course.
TeamSpeak is a voice over net program that is a separate piece of software used by primarily gamers to communicate over the net while gaming. In our case, we can talk while flying. It is better than having to type chat in a chat window. It is a free program and you do need a mic. You can learn more about TeamSpeak at their website. (http://www.goteamspeak.com/)
The TeamSpeak server we are speaking of is hosted by a Delaware flying club and is tied in with the Phoenix Social Group. I do not control access to this server. To find out more about it, you can go to the Phoenix Social Group here on HF . (http://www.helifreak.com/group.php?groupid=34)
So far, anyone I have talked to about Phoenix that has owned one of the other sims... They all have said that Phoenix is by far the best sim out there.
For us Blade owners what makes Phoenix nice is there is a good B400 model in it (You can also download a variant file that SPaRX made that does feel more like the stock Blade than the one that comes with Phoenix. (http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=69672&highlight=sparx+variant)). Also, you can make changes to your Phoenix profile in your Tx and test/try different tweaks on the sim before trying them o your real heli.
Helimix, is it possible to have a sub-forum for Phoenix Online Sim'ng and also the information about TeamSpeak so that it is easy for us to find and for each new HF'r to find as they join or become Phoenix owners or are new to HF?

Rotorwash.. aren't you on the Phoenix list? I sent out an email with all the info needed to download and connect to Teamspeak. We shared it via email so we don't get non-phoenix people breaking in 'for fun' etc. ;)
