With the recommended factory setup on the Twinn Trexx, has anyone tried lifting anything from the main hook? Was curious how much thrust is available with a stock setup and if controllability is there if the load starts moving around, also how the gyro reacts to the swinging load.

It should be fine ...one of the other forums had a MS chinook that carried a sling load pretty good and it IMHO was not near the bird that this one is . Keep the load light and just start working with it would be my suggestion .

Thanks Larry. I'll experiment with my trusty SE V2 and get an idea on what length sling works best and easily controlled.

That would be an interesting test. It may be hard to control the load because you may not notice it oscillating. We know what to do when the load moves about, but that's when we can see it (or feel it in my case).

Good luck with the testing!
