Does anyone have any experience with using either the Futaba 309 or 319 synthesized receiver with an Ion?

...not the 309 or 319, but I've been running 5014's (G3) in both my Ions (Hacker/Hacker-ESC and Actro/CC-ESC) all season with no trouble.
Had a glitch once after installing the CC ESC (HV-110) - installed a ferrite ring on the ESC throttle lead - all good since.

I used a Futaba synthesized reciever once in my Ion, and it was very bad. Range about 10 feet. But, it was on the 35 Mhz band.
