Build one good 3cell lipo from Two bad ones?

I have 2 Flightpower EVO 3s1p 2170mAh 25c batteries and they both have one bad cell in them. They are starting to show their age i think.

I was wondering if it is possible to take them apart and get the 3 best cells from them. I think i could make one good battery and shrink wrap it back together.

Has anyone successfully done this or should i just trash them?

Yes plenty of people do this. Its 'easy' so long as you know what you're doing, have aluminium solder for the tabs that come out of the cells and understand the risks if you stuff it up!
