JR 8900 Servo Voltage??

Anyone out there using the JR8900 tail servo WITHOUT stepping down the voltage to 5.1 volts. I'm going to use the Align 2 in 1 and I'm wondering if I need to step down from the 5.8v to 5.1v with their inline regulator if not I'll run straight through with the 5.8 volts. Any information would help. :confused:

I flew my 600N with the 8900 on the tail for about 10 tanks,connected the servo to the gyro 7703D without the step down. I was just using the align 2in1

Later I used the step down just for peace of mind.

Use the step down as it is recomended

One of the guys out here tried it for a while, but the servo was getting really hot. I don't believe that JR recommends running it up at 5.8V
