I am trying to find someone to help me learn to get my t-rex 450 off the ground.I have a sim and can do fine on that,but when it come to getting the real thing off the ground,I keep crashing.I am close to Franklin Ky. Is there anyone close or reasonable drive that can help me? I would like to try using a buddy box to learn.Any help would be appreciated.Feel free to pm me to discuss this.

You might want to try Radd's School of Rotory Flight. It's pretty boring, but it can really help you, and keep you from crashing.

You could also get a sim if you don't have one already.

First, make sure the transmitter settings are proper for a newbie. Second, make sure the heli is properly calibtrated (blades are tracking, etc.) Finally, attach training gear.

I'd the same problem 6 weeks ago. For the first week, I couldn't the heli off of the ground without crashing ... why? because I was afraid of crashing. Then one day, I told myself "go big or quit the hobby" and out of no where I started hovering. I'm now practicing nose-in. You'll get her off of the ground. Good luck!
