I have been working on my 500 and my 600n for a few days, so I've had their parts spread out on my bench. This means that I have 6s batteries with sitting right next to the 2s that I use to power the 8 volt power system on my 600n. Low and behold, I plugged 22 volts into my AR7000 and which went straight to the servos. The step down saved the GY611 and the gov/throt servo.

Wow, I am in a strange dazed state right now, that is one of the best bonehead moves I ever made.

They were only a week old maybe 8 flights. How should I go about trying to get them replaced? Will JR repair them or is it my problem, because I screwed up?

I have read post concerning people that run the 8717's on 8v stating that Horizion has a way to tell if they where run over 6V. They probably have also read this post too. Sorry to hear about the servos, maybe Horizion will repair or check with Radio South.

It may be worth sending them to JR for repair and even if it does cost you, it will be cheaper than buying new I would of thought.

If it burned up the motors. It will cost more to replace the motors than the servos will cost new. Been there, done that, got the Tshirt
