flying today, no probs until motor cuts out at about 40 feet in the air. I tried my best to auto and managed to put it down with no damage (couple clicks from the belt slipping because the tail must have hit the ground). I checked everything and no loose connections. I had control of everything except the motor during that time.

I checked the heli afterwards and noticed that the battery was warmer than usual and the motor I could not touch (too hot). I dont have a thermometer to get actual measurements. SO, my question is that if the motor and battery are abnormally warm and the esc is not warm (and still providing power to the radio system), then why did the motor quit?
