Hi.

Can anybody help me with a Funky chicken vibration swift 16 plastic heli bought last year?
Balanced blades, Main shaft is ok, feather spindle is hardened steel, spool up and down with out blades and no vibration..... Whats the problem? Blade grips? Landing Gear?
What else can I do? :arggg:
I build it with the help of Finless Bob videos ( thanks Bob :) )

If I have to buy new parts I'll trow it to the sea and buy a raptor or another brand heli...

I've build a few T-Rex and MT and never had so many problems.....

Greetings

You say the blades are balanced. Are they wood or CF? Main shaft is okay and you say the spindle is hardened steel. But is it straight? When you power it up (with no blades) you do not get vibration. You did not mention the flybar. Is that equal in length?

had the same problem on my 620 with the stk landing gear.
you need stiffer landing gear and you need the blades to be tight.
if that does'nt do it then use throttle hold to spool it down and apply a little pitch while spooling down and that will change the ground resanence or what ever it's called that does that to certain heli's.
Appperently it is not an uncommen problem, but these items i mentioned should do the trick. One guy mentioned just autoing in every time and that will keep the blades loaded till they get below there ground resanonce rpm.
What they tell me is that at a certain rpm the pulses coming down off the blades will bounce back and hit the blades just right and loose blades, woosey landing gear and no pitch all make it worse.
hope this helps.

This is a result of a ground resonance being set up through the long struts.

Make sure you have the latest version (V3) of the landing gear struts (thicker then the others).

If you are taking off from a hard surface, move to grass - that will change the resonance - or install 4 pieces of small rubber hose with an 8mm ID on the skids (one on the front of each skit and one on the back of each skid)

Hi friends.

Finally I got rid of those vibrations....

I put lithium grease on dampers and feather spindle, and Changed LG for a raptor 50 LG.
Now it spools fine.

Thanks to all of you for your posts :noteworthy
