We have connections to almost every other heli besides JR. We are working on it as I think Bob definitely could help a lot of people with a build vid.
I'am sure if you send Bob one with all the gear for free he will do a build series.

All somebody needs to do is call over to Horizon and explain what a huge advantage it would be and they may send him one. I'm absolutely sure if one shows up at his door we will see more of his killer vids and blow by blow build threads.

Bob is a busy man ...... If we get him fired from his job he will have more time to do videos :happyd

Ya know its bad when I have to go over to the otheRR site for my JR "fix". I wish more freaks flew the Vibe50 or even the Vibe90! I had seen a Vibe90 in person the other day and man what a beautiful machine!
I think its kinda funny how alot of people are getting all worked up over the Aurora and T700 that arent even out yet when there are great machines like the Vibe90, Synergy, Stratus, and even the Raptor90 that will do everything that anybody could ask of it! I understand the newness of a machine but when it come to a 90 class I want a proven product.

I have a Vibe 50 but unfortunately all the JR talk is over on RR.

I vote for a Vibe 50 build too!! Although I built mine already, I could still benefit from a build video for sure, especially by Bob.
I have not flown it yet, but I must say, the Vibe 50 build is very nice and there is no slop ANYWHERE!!

Agreed.
I know that Bob would really enjoy building one. They practically fall together. The fit and finish is excellent.

Yep, this thing is very nice.... GREAT quality and fit/finish.
My only complaints? The links SUCK... And the parts count is very high compared to my 600N(if you care about that sort of thing).
Other than that, not a hiccup yet. Except that I switched the frame sides early on in the build... Luckily I caught it or I would have been one PO'ed camper!

I'll give you the parts count.
What do you feel is wrong with the links?

They're just such a **hore to get on... And the links from swash to grip are 5 or 6mm shorter than the two front bellcrank links but the rods are the same length so it's even worse. Yah I don't have a tool so I know that's my fault. But I also had to re-size every single one, they aren't even close to fitting properly(much too tight).
Really it's a small complaint and about all I can think of... I like the tail, the slider is very smooth.... The two pins held on with those little clips are a little stiff though... I guess they'll loosen up maybe. Finished it last night, just need to install the motor/electroncs when I can afford to buy them:)

Yea, I have a link tool set from QuickUK to save my finger tips and the dang things are too beefy to fit in them! I had to use a link tool on every one of them but they don't appear to have worn any in the month or so I've been flying it.
I ended up having to use a tee shirt to hold the links.

Yes I ended up grabbing a washcloth which helped a little bit.

Oh yeah one other ***** while I'm thinking about it...
JR notched the canopy for the control rods if you're using 140 deg.... But what if you're using 120 like I am? Two un-necessary notches that look pretty dumb IMO.

I agree, the links suck, I ended up using the Rocket City links and they fit very well.

I didnt have a problem with the links, I sized them with the JR tool and another tool that holds the link while putting them together and that was it. I've never used Rocket city links but I keep hearing that those are by far the best!

I dont thing we need finless to do the video on vibe 50 cause as long as you follow the manual instuction and you just got -15,0,+15, you dont even have to do a lingkage measure, that heli was really good in quality, light, stable.

If you can build a 600N you can build a Vibe 50 but it would still be cool to see Bob do a video on it.

Here's the article and flight video http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=1007
I read portions of that article on RCU Andy. They gave very high marks to JR for all of the things you guys have mentioned - though no mention of the links . They said that the instructions were great too!
How long has the Vibe 50 been on the market? Is it a step up from the 600 or just different? I read just a little about the 140 degree swash. Why would you go with 120 instead of 140? It sounds like better geometry.
Thanks,
Dave

If your radio supports it, 140 is the way to go. Fast servos and some mixing can make up for the one flaw in 120 degree, its not a big deal but the 9303 supports it and the V50 includes the parts so it was a no-brainer.
They were shipping in April I think in the US.
