Yeah that's what I figured I was just givin' ya a hard time;). I think it's funny though that the NOS brand (Nitrous Oxide Systems) has become synonymous with Nitrous Oxide (N2O). Especially when people try to pronounce it Nawwwsss. I blame the fast and furious movies myself. All the old muscle car guys know NOS stands for New Old Stock. ie. original parts made by the factory but were never used and are still new. I always wondered if there was a way to do a real electrical nitrous oxide like boost, with a cap or something, to give you a quick boost when triggered. That might be interesting.

I realize its mostly in jest but you would not want a surge in power such as a nitrous system provides.
Imagine having your first flight mode set to 75% throttle and your second to 100%. When hovering you flick to idle2 and then rapidly auto in as the the sudden increase in motor RPM stripped your main gear.

Hmm..., first the weak blade bolts from the other thread, now separating pinions? I'm almost done with my 6003d and I'm worried it might not be so great if these issues exist for me.

Mikado has addressed these problems and they have been taken care of. If your kit is fairly new I'd think you will be fine.

As stated the pinions are now coming laser welded so this is not an issue. As well in regards to ones that are not welded there has been very few out of thousands that have split, yes some peeps are cursed and have had more than one, lol. In regards to the shanked bolts, those as well now are coming standard in the kits. I wouldn't be to negative or worried, the performance surpases the likes of t-rexes and such so much you'll forget all your paranoia.;)

Okay, that sounds reassurring. I would like to see some those laser welded pinions out on the market soon for that peace of mind. The bolts that came in my kit are partially shanked so part of the blade rides on the shank, part of it doesn't. I'm not sure if these bolts are the newer or older bolts.
