is the 9z the only radio that you should set your endpoints for each flight condition? I have a 9c and my endpoints do not change in any mode. please clarify.

On the 9C ATV/EPA/END POINT/TRAVEL (whatever you prefer to call it) is the same for all conditions. Then you use the curves and to some extent dual rates to limit servo travel further. Note that dual rates can be more than "dual" as they can be selected to be different on a per condition basis, but they are of course limited due to them adjusting both sides of the channel the same percentage. (Or you can place the "dual rates" on a three way switch and thus get triple rates.)
