Hey Guys,

Well, I broke down and bought two of these lipos to see if they really were any good or not. At $25 a piece I figured it was worth it. I got them at Value Hobby; Here's the Link:

GFORCE Lipo 1800mAh (http://www.valuehobby.com/product_details.php?category_id=3&item_id=27)

The batteries performed VERY WELL! They are a little bigger than the E-Flight batteries, but I had no problem putting the canopy on.

I am sticking with the EC3 connectors (I know, everyone else likes DEANS) and these batteries came with deans, so I had to convert them. I'm not any good at soldering, so I looked up on-line, and can you believe that Horizon Hobby ACTUALLY had a GUIDE on how to install new EC3 connectors?!?!?!:shock::shock: The link is below:

How-To-Install EC3 Connectors (http://www.horizonhobby.com/Articles/Article.aspx?ArticleID=1768)

Now, I've only flown the packs 3 times each, so we'll see what the longevity ratio is, but for HALF the price of the E-Flight ones, I'm willing to give them a thumbs Up!!!!!

I'm hoping to do my first Roll and Loop by next weekend. I've been flying in idle up for the last 6 packs and just want to get used to that on the real thing instead of the sim. As soon as I'm ready I'll be sure to video tape the Crash (I mean, successful first roll and loop!)

Keep on Flying!

I found a deal on e-bay, batts. are made by Tenergy,............2x batts. for $64.99.
And I know you prefer the EC3 connectors, but in my opinion, the Deans are awesome, I just converted over too. They unplug so much easier and the majority of r/c pilots use Deans. This morning I went to the local park to fly, two other guys were there (to fly) and they both had just crashed. They watched me (struggle) for a bit and asked if I would like to extend my flight time and use up there unused batteries (six), and they all had Deans on them and plugged right into mine.

I have two GeForce batteries from Valuhobby one being 1800mAh and the other 2200mAh. I'm going to convert the Blade and stock battery from EC3 connectors to Deans only because as I buy other batteries which 90% of the time come with Deans, I won't have to convert the connectors just to use the battery.

I'll leave feedback as soon as I use them which will be after my servo and gyro upgrades arrive. Right now, I am going through Radd's School of Rotary Flight (see link below) and the stock E-Flight battery is working fine.

I used DEANS on my plane, but I SUCK at soldering, and I have to say, getting the deans to solder correctly was REALLY hard.....

Yeah, I know, get over it, right?!?!?!

Hey Murf,

I did the same thing just yesterday.
I received my G-Force battery and changed it over to an EC-3 connector.
I agree that it was not easy, much harder than I thought.
The other option is to make a Deans/EC3 adaptor, which I might do.

The big thing about these batteries will definately be longevity, performance reviews have all been good.
I know they are really relabeled Loong Max batteries.
So...
??Does anyone have any high cycle counts on these??

Hey Lock,
Are you up to 100 cycles on the Loong Max yet?

I've had the GForce 2250 25c for a while now (March). I got about 25 to 30 cycles on it using the Eflite stock charger. The battery is a performer so far.
I also have 2 loonmax (I've read the Gforce is a relabel of the loongmax)1300mah 2s 20c batteries for my HBFP and have tons of cycle on them -- over 75 cycles. They are my "go to battery" I'm still maintaining a conservative 10 minutes with good power left on it.

As far as the installation of the EC3 connectors.. you got to have a high wattage solder iron otherwise you'll wait for ever.

G-Force Lipos come from the same place as Loongmax. Valuehobby asked the factory to label them different because they were getting "support" requests from people who bought Loongmax lipos at HobbyCity. They thought that Valuehobby and HobbyCity was the same company.

Deans connectors. HATE THEM! IMHO the worst connector ever created. Why people think these are the Holy Grail of battery connectors I do not know. I use Anderson PowerPoles. Rated up to 30 amps. The make a nice "snap" sound when you connect them. They are color coded so you will never get the connection backwards. You can hook them together as well so you never make the connection wrong.

Cheaper then Deans connectors too.

I bought two of these GForce 2250 mAh batteries. They are awesome. In fact if you have read LockMD talk about loongmax batteries these are the same batteries with a different label. They call them GForce so they can tell them from the loongmax from hobbycity. I recieved them in two days here in western KY and the were all 3.86 volts. I have had the loongmax for several months and they are very good . I use 4 2250's on my trex 600 2S2P and they discharge and charge as one and stay very well balanced. I reccomend them highly.
