umm if you're still asking, then its just the regulator thats making the noise... From what I know, all DX7's do that and its perfectly normal

If I have my DX7 turned off and plug in the cable for PhoenixRC, the radio turns on but it does not buzz. I think it is not powering the 2.4 GHz transmitter as it is not needed. If I then slide the power switch to the 'on' position, the buzzing starts. Back to the 'off' position (radio stays on as the PhoenixRC cable is connected) and the buzzing is gone again.

Anyway, with a full battery pack and the PhoenixRC cable connected I can probably use the radio with the sim for about 15-20 hours before the battery is too empty to use.

Cheers,

Mathijs

When you plug in to the trainer port it doesn't transmit and uses much less power. Yes what you described is normal buzzing not buzzing yup mine does that too.

What's cool is it always let me know at the field when I ignored giving it a rest. i.e. forgot to turn it off.
