I was hovering in the park this morning coz my neighbor don't want me to hover that early he said alot of people are still sleeping. Ok then after my 6th lipo flight a loud pop. Then the 400 starts to piro then I manage to auto her down the grass about 10ft of the ground.
No damage to anything except the bolt holding the tail grips snaps into 2 pieces. I'm glad nobody get hurt and the heli is one piece. I never tought of the allen hex bolt will snap and the grip and the tail blade come flying out. But a very good save that I was practicing auto before a few weeks back then the incident happened.

So to all people please check this allen bolt once in a while coz you don't want this to happen to you also. I don't really know why it snap I'm figuring out the bolt weakened by loctite over time. I'm not really sure so if you know something post it here.

There are two socket head cap screws, one on each side, holding the blade grips on the hub.
Are you saying one of them broke?
Or did one of the two vibrate loose and fall out?

Yup the one holding the tail grips in each side. One bolt snapped into 2 pcs and the grip with tail blade flew out. I replaced it with the same kind and loctited it again. Hope it will hold coz I'm flying again later this afternoon.

Yah lucky this time. But I still did alot of checking and rechecking on all major parts. As if I'm still looking for flaws and damage. So learning autorotation is very good at my point of view. And not to panic if you see fast piro and keep her level until the ground. If you still have power use it to soften the landing never chop the throttle. Bare in mind this is a machine, equiptment fails and when they do be ready for it.
Now I will include that in my flight checklist, the tail rotor and assembly.
