I see lots of higher end transmitter built with the failsafe capability. But I'm not sure what it does, can someone please enlighten me as to how it works and what it does please?

Another off topic question, I need to do a trade study on transmitters and other RC components for a project. Since I'm in Australia, it seems to me there is a lot of places that do not distribute Futaba gear or simply will not deal with them... My feeling tells me there might be some legal issues involved, but I cannot be certain. Does anyone know whats the go with this?

Thanks

Fail safe is a feature where the servos are still given some command when the Rx loses the Tx signal. Otherwise the servos may hold their position, or drive fully one way or the other, or may just randomly move.

Failsafe can be either to set one or more channels to some specific position, or to hold their last commanded position.

Fail safe is a function of the Rx.
