Hey all, I am trying to set up my 450SA for the 1st time and am having some issues with the servo arms. Setting them up I found that using the recommended servo arms, the 2 arms ones for Hitec, the tip of the arm can still hit the main gear. I could probably shave a bit off, but I am worried that it might weaken the arm too much as the book says to use the last hole. Is it ok to do that? I am also assuming that I will have to cut off the other end of the arm as it hits a screw head used to attach the inner and outer frame pieces.

Sorry for such a newbie question.
Thanks in advance.

I would check out the videos by Finless, I'm pretty sure he touched on this one.

I tried to find a video that talks about it but couldn't. I watched the HS65MG one as thats what I'm running, then the 56 as he eludes to that. He mentions he will talk about it in this video near the end but never does get to it.

Are all the Trex 450s in the one spot under "Trex 450 and general build videos"?

I know it seems to take some insane stick inputs to move the arm into the main gear, but I would still hate to think I may do it and destroy an new servo.

Put the right front servo in the lower hole. Ball link goes in the 2nd hole from the end. Buzz off the end of the servo arm, but not so far that you get too close to the hole the ball link is in.

The arm *MAY* contact the gear will full negative and right forward cyclic, but since the arm points towards the rear, it'll "skip" off the main gear.

Now that is the 2nd hole from the end on the 2 arm "---o---" one right? And do I cut the other side of it off, or do i use the one arm one?

Thanks

It is in the CCPM 1 video. The ball should be 13mm from the spindle centre.

That's awesome but I have one more question (well for now anyway), I have the 450SA not the 450SE V2. The book says 14.5mm, do I still use the 13mm hole?

I am pretty sure it the same, however easy to check. When the servo arm is centered the ball links should be as close as possible to the vertical up to the swash.

The one 450SA I helped set up used the same 13mm measurement as my SEs and my V2. Use whatever hole gets the links as vertical as possible.

Hey guys, I am switching my hs65mg cyclics from my B400 over to my new trex450seV2. I think that the esc on my B400 is 5v and on the rex it is 6v. I was wondering if these servos will run on a 6v without burning up. I am also dont know if the LTG-2100T or GY401 / s9257 will burn up on a 6v system??

I run all my 450s with HS65s right off the Align ESC. No problems. I can't help you with the 2100, but the 401 will run on 6v no problem.
