Yep thats the new Version 2 Exi.... saw it the other day.. dont know if i like the frame too much though. for example what if it breaks, not easily replaceable like the normal exi version which you can use trex frames.

Isn't that always the way? Just about got the new one ready to fly and something new pops up!

It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want.

I agree with you on the new EXI. The amount extra compared to the $99 frame, bus some servos, good motor,etc...

Back on topic: I think I mentioned my next one was going to be a Honeybee FP... from hell :Bang

Just completed this 2.4 GHz brushless full separates ducted fan fiber frame King CF Boom Edition™. It even flys and everything. Now that I found that out, I just need to clean up that rat's nest and figure out how to mount everything properly. The T-Rex canopy is just on for the pose... first thing that happened to be within reach.

Hey Mika some cabling ideas

A question how do you display only the attachment like you did ?

Now that's a clean installation. My hat's off to you. :noteworthy

Do you get the image tags automatically? I just upload the attachments and they automatically display as thumbnails unless I specifically insert them in the post body. May have something to do with the editor interface you selected in your user settings.

Hey Ber, my belt cp is almost stock. I still have the stock frame and stock gears etc. My question is, would that copterX frame fit on my belt cp and if so what mods would I have to do to make it fit?

Cheers,
Jonny

Yes , tailboom is 12mm like the belt a perfect fit , you will have to use the main gears and main shaft of the copterx and a longer pinion on the esky motor.

Ok cheers, and what about the swashplate? The links are in a different place or is there another way of doing it?

Yes, it is a t-rex style head. What I mean is 2 servo's in front 1 in back at the A-rotation pin but with a bit of handywork easy to do

Plastic Belt frame is fine Jonny, (with Dts mod). If you want to upgrade your heli I would get a decent head for it, nothing else will improve it as much :)

Ian is right Johnny, can't believe the difference the copterx head has made to my heli. Who was it that said a heli is a rotorhead and shaft, the rest is an irrelevence?

I wanted the frame for the looks. I have been thinking of getting the copter x head for a while but I need the money. Anyone know where I can get it for super cheap?

I know the DTS mod is good but I dont want to cut away at my pride and joy. Once I have sold my rc car and my mini moto. I will get a few things for my belt but most of the money will be going towards the Trex 500!!!

PS. Who wants a mini moto for £60. I need to sell lots of stuff because this hobby is the best. You guys think of what it would be like to have litteraly no money! And I cant even borrow money from the bank lol. Too young :(

For the DTS mod leave the front servo or use Mikes reinforcing plate. for the rear servos use Mini titan servo mounts (see the sticky) they only cost a few quid. My front servo is standard and has no slop so I havn't changed it.

CopterX head should only cost £38. You could ask for one for your birthday next month:)

Trex 500 is a very expensive thing for someone with no mony to run;)

I can remember very well scrimping and struggling for over a year to get my first RC plane
when I was 14 :P

Well, yes it is expensive but if you think about it. It wont be much more than the belt cp once you have fully built it.

The parts are cheap. The only really expensive things are the electronics. I wouldn't be doing loads of upgrades to it because there will be no need. Only mods I might do is the non static mods etc.

Once I have sold a few of my things then I will have a lot of money to spend all on helis:P

LOL Smart arse:rolling

Actually the plans did show a wind up single channel rubber escapement instead of servo's but I made it up as a 4 channel machine

Any way your as old as you feel:):)
