YS 50 with Hatori 523=

Hi guys,

have anyone of you testetd the Hatori 523 on a YS 50? The reason is that I maybe later buy an TT redline engine and it would be nice if I could use the Hatori on both engines... :) Also I would like to know how much power there is. So anyone testet it?

You mean the hatri 522? Yes it will fit...

The SAB-50-3D Bobby Watts Special here in the US is supposedly equivalent to the 522 in other parts of the world and I've seen a few online shops claiming that it will work on the OS 50, YS 50, and TT Redline.

I had the Align 50 muffler on my YS50 but it worked like a tuned pipe and only wanted to work effectively at high RPM which is fine for extreme 3D but does not suit my Sylphide 50 which is an F3C machine where a slower head speed is required for the hover.
I have just bought a Hatori #521 and will be trying it tomorrow.

It says on the box that this Hatori muffler is a 3D version but was told it will give the motor a nice broad range without being peaky.

The Hatori 522 and 523 are exactly the same dimensions but internally are tuned differently. The 523 was specifically built for the TTRL53H, but other than that I have no idea on what actual characteristics it would show on another engine.
