I was trying to descend, and it was about 30 feet high I lost power in the motor for a fraction of a second. That caused the trex 500 dropped about a couple feet, and the power came back as usual. That same issue happened again when it was about 20 feet (on the same descending approach), and the power came back normal after that. I landed and checked the battery voltage, and I got around 12.1V. I know for sure that it was not the battery because it was new and had only 5 cycles and fully charged before that flight (just took off and turned around for landing within less than 1 minute.) This Trex-500 is almost new, and everything is setup according to Bob's video. I was in the normal mode, and my throttle curve was 0 95 95 95 95. The pitch curve was 45 50 60 70 100. I replaced with another battery and flew a couple more times after that, but the problem did not seem to come back. I even took the previous battery and flew again, but everything seemed to be fine with the same battery and with other battery. Has anyone experienced with such a very quick lost of power with a stock ESC and stock motor (1600KV), and it happened within a fraction of a second?

I would be looking at the motor to esc wires. Make sure the bullet connectors aren't exposed at all and check for wires being nicked or cut.

what battery are you using as 12.1v is low , unless you using 2 packs and that was in each pack

I was using two trex-450 packs, and 12.1V was the voltage of each pack after landing. No exposed connector at all. One of the guy at the field experienced that when he flipped his heli upside down. I may have to set the ESC to governor mode to see how it does.
