Blade cx battery charge problem-i think?

a friend gave me his blade cx. heres what hapened.

1. i pluged the charger into the wall.
2. red light starter blinking indicting that the charger had power but no batter was connected.
3. i connected the battery-(yes i plugged the right part in per the manual)
4. red light never stopped blinking indicating that the batter was connected a began charging.

now what?

the batter maybe bad? the batter seems to be VERY LGHTLY puffy but no marshmallow (y) yet.

any idea?

wait... first of all, is the battery puffed at ALL??? Also, both the red and green lights should light up solid.
