I've had this thing for a year now. And have spent so much money on props and new shafts and this and that.

I would have been better off getting a real helicopter.

I think these things are a ripoff.

Just my opinion.

oh yea now it just flips over to the left, dosent even get off the ground.

Try taking off the props and put some blades on it!

I was able to hunt down some blades here is the link
http://secure.hobbyzone.com/catalog/HZ/eflite/eflite_blade_cx2/eflite_blade_cx2_parts/EFLH1220.html

However I was unable to find the right aileron input you need! :clappp

If you fly better all you wont be replacing blades and shafts ;)

Sounds like theres something wrong with the heli... might want to get it checked out.

You've had it a YEAR and still aren't flying it? There is something wrong with your bird. Granted they aren't the GREATEST flying heli's around for the money they can't be beat. Mine flew hands off right out of the box and one of them is still stock from top to bottom and it flies very nice. Granted the "Hopped Up" one flies AWESOME but it's very touchy.

Maybe take it to a LHS and ask them for help. That's where I got the MOST help and support.

Good luck.

Allen :)

You won't believe it. I fixed it again. The reason I break so many blades is because my house has no room. My wife has crap everywhere. So if I fly inside I hit this and that. I try to wait for days when there's no wind. But that isn't often.

I haven't been flying it for a year. I've had it for a year. but I have only flown it maybe 10 times. And I always hit something:)

I was just upset yesterday when I made this post. Your right it is a good heli. I have taken it apart and put it back together many times.

I have it flying good again, one of the servo arms were frozen, turned out to be a loose conection.

It's my fault because I am a reckless flyer. I have NO patience. So I didn' t mean to offend anyone that likes this heli.

It's a good heli.

Sorry for yesterdays rant............Steve

He buddy we ALL have days like that! I've quit this hobby probably 30x or more but always come back with passion the next day or so.

Glad you're back flying again.

You might be able to fly in the gym at a nearby school. I used to do that when I went to pick up my child. Some guys have found indoor parking garages to fly in.

I fly in one of our 5 warehouses here for the company I work for. It's a "Building Supply" and we have several fairly open buildings to chose from. Ask around and you may find something that works for you local to you.

I just recently got the boomtown grips & blades, 2nd best mod I've ever done for the CX2.
http://www.boomtownhobbies.com/Xtreme_Alum_Blade_grip_combo_p/bcx021c.htm

Best mod was to increase the blade separation by 15mm
http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19525

Between these two mods, broken blades are a thing of the past.

Some other nice things on boomtown that have made the CX a nice flyer are the
extreme landing gear
extreme tail
extreme motors
DN 25C batteries.

Yea, it's some more bucks spent, but it's flying so well now I'd say it's $ well spent.

I fly mine around inside the house (and outside too.) Around lamps, hanging models, corners, etc. I've hit walls, lamps, furnature and more, didn't break a blade. Finally broke one last night when I hit the ceiling fan (the running ceiling fan which flung the CX accros the room.)

Maybe you need a good sim to practice on!

Dude, seriously, YOU DO NOT NEED A SIM FOR A CX!!! I repeat, YOU DO NOT NEED A SIM FOR A CX!!! It is WAY to easy to fly, I learned in a VERY small area, and now, about 4 months later, Im doing pirouettes, figure-8s, and everything else you throw at me.

I don't have much complain with CX2,only but the poor quailty rate gyro. That is no way you could have adjust the mixer or the gain from the 3in1 to have prefect hold.It will just drift left or right.

Don't listen to that! A sim helps out quite a lot regardless of what copter you have. In fact, because I flew with a sim while waiting for my CX2 to show up, I knew pretty much exactly what to expect with the copter. This not only includes flying it, but also how to adjust trims so the heli would actually lift up without instantly crashing. Read thru the posts here and on other forums, you'll find out that MOST flyers agree that sims help a lot.

Steve, I agree with benzee1.

If you do not have a sim yet, you should pick one up. I prefer Pheonix myself and many others I have turned onto Phoenix say it is better than the others, especially for the online flight (flying on the Net with other heli pilots). It is the most inexpensive sim of them all, lots of free flying fields here on HF in the Phoenix Social Group (http://www.helifreak.com/group.php?groupid=34), and when ordered from Pheonix in England (http://www.phoenix-sim.com/welcome.htm), it only takes four business days to get to the US for $5 s/h.

Do not give up. And try to find an area to fly in with plenty of room. If I can learn to fly, anyone can. :YeaBaby:
