View Full Version : B400 Stock Battry Connectors.
Now normally I wouldnt have to ask this cause with evry other battery I have bought I just convert to Deans. However I kinda like these connectors that come on the stock battery. I bought a set of them to makea charge cord for my Triton but am having amoment.
How do you cennect them to the teminals? Do they solder, crimp?......it's not clear and there doesn't look like there is alot of spce to get a good strong solder connection. Is there a specific technique....

slide the blue plasic down the wire, put the metal tubes in a vice fill with solder attach wires then slide plastic over the metal tubes it will click into place. I did the same a while back but have since just changed the heli to deans - makes life easier.

You solder them. The way I do it is put the pin for the connector into a vice, then heat the pin and fill it with soldier. Then tin the wire, reheat the pin and put the wire in. Let cool and pop the pin into the housing.
Thanks.... I'm off to burn my fingers with my soldering iron.....again!!

There is an article on the Horizon Hobby site about installing EC3 connectors.
