double checking

when i tilt the heli back (up elev) does the gyro read in the direction of the tilt or does it read down elev to correct. i have the swash reacting the correct way but when i tilt the heli to live menu shows the gyro reading the opposite way i tilt it.

The gyro reads the direction of tilt. As long as the swash is tilting in the opposite direction to correct the movement, you'll be fine.

Visually, the swash should tilt to match the direction of any motion. It can appear pretty slight, however.

For example, if you rock the heli forward, nose down, the swash will tilt backwards, like it's trying to stay level with the ground. That "level with the ground" thing works in both directions.
