Hello. Just sripped my gears out of my servos hs-65hb karbonite gears. Should i replace them with metal, or is it worth it. Will my sevos be to strong and tear other stuff up? :thinking

Karbonite: $5.00
Metal: $13.00

well usually things that are the weak spot will get wrecked. I would personally replace with the karbonite gears. You can strip them 2.5 times and yet save the rest of the servo. Vs metal gears and something like the servo motor going. Just my 2 cents.

Metal gearsets are like $14 and a much more durable that the Karbonites. They're a direct drop in as well...

Figure the time it'd take you to swap Karbonites each time you strip 'em and factor that into your "costs"...

Personally, I HATE rebuilding servos - well, I hate having to pull 'em out of the heli and put them back in etc...

Exactly! I'm rebuilding one of mine as we speak.....and unfortunately it's the bottom one on the front cyclic so I had to pull all three to get this one out! Oh and it's a metal geared HS-65mg that stripped! Go figure.
