I almost got eaten alive by an Evo 50 last weekend...
Wiping down my plank to put it away for the day when "INCOMING!!!" was shouted. I looked up just in time to see it slam into the ground not 10' in front of me, almost inverted, nose down and moving fast. The impact showered me in debris.
The pilot is experienced and rarely crashes. Somehow he lost orientation doing high speed rolls and "froze" while his brain tried to figure out what to do. It was one of those "just one more" flights at the end of the day that went wrong. Fortunately, no one (but the Evo) was hurt. He was a bit freaked out as it was so close to everyone.
I couldn't believe how far the rotor carved into the hard packed clay. A clean gash 4~6" before the blade disintegrated. I can only imagine what that would do to someone's skull!
Stay safe!
