View Full Version : AR7000 satelite Rx not initialising - why?

Can anyone figure this out.

I plugged the third pack of the day into my T450 with the Tx already on (as you do). The AR7000 main Rx had its light on, but the satelite Rx did not AND there was no radio link, nada, nothing worked. The Tail Servo was buzzing away , showing that power was making it through from the BEC, but he RX just wouldn't initialise.
Tried turning Tx off and on, and re-connecting the Heli batt, but nothing.

Got it home, connected it all up and it worked properly!

I feel I can't trust it now and I've relegated the AR7000 to my e-glider plank. The T450 now has a AR6200 in it.

Does anyone have any clues as to what happened - or is it actually a fault and I should send it back?????

No ideas?????
Anyone!
Could it be a shutdown and re-set type of thing caused by arcing (voltage spikes) when I connect the Deans?

Rick a number of things will cause that.

First is having the transmitter right next to the reciever while its booting, it needs to be a few feet away.

The second is being around metal like a workbench or shelves, sitting on the tailgate of a pickup etc.

Or the wire between the main and the sat Rxes could have worked partially loose.

My tail servo will buzz and my receiver also has trouble linking to my TX if my X9303 is on and within a couple of feet of my my Logo 10 carbon when I power it up. I am running R921 receiver and using a GY401 and at 9253 on the tail.
