Curious if there is an Avant Electric in the future??
The craftsmanship of this heli. looks great and would be cool to have an electric.
Thanks,
Jeff
Great News!!
Augusto stated on the AvantRC.com/support forum, in response to a forum member asking if there would be a conversion kit.
Feb 8, 2007
No there is no conversion kit. We have plans but not for a conversion but an electric version of the Aurora completely optimized for electric power such as power pack placement and large electronic speed control allowance and so forth. We have no idea when it will be available though. At this time the only thing we have in our minds is the release of the Aurora. Everything else is secondary.
Augusto.

I don't care how long it takes, I will be flying at least one of the Aurora Electric machines when they hit the streets. This is my dream machine. Can't wait. This is also the first machine my wife says I have to have. Imagine that!! I love you honey.:thumbup::smokin:

I've been away from Nitro for a very long time (Raptor 50 V2). I'm thinking about going nitro again..... the electric would be sweet, but I don't want to wait. I still may get it though when it does hit the street but nitro version first is what I'm drooling over. It's so freakin beautiful!!!

Well I guess that was my lame attempt at humor (prolonged deveopment... haha). But you would think with the groundwork laid by the Aurora, that an eAurora would be a relative simple development (look at the number of nitro/electric helis that have the same head, tail/boom,, etc..)

I am not BS'ing. I would be happy to have Robin get on the phone with your wife and explain to her what she likes. Robin asked me again last night when I get mine. Man I love this woman. :)

I have an Aurora on the way, when it arrives I will first try to go electric, if that fails I might run nitro, just might,...
Looking at the manual I think I have an idea for the the motor setup, battery placement will be the issue that need some tinkering.
