No expert heere but I have heard of putting slightly larger blades on this heli but you greatly increase "Tail Boom Strike" potential which = $$$$

Even the standard 335mm blades will still happily boom strike in a high g maneuver or hard landing.
You'd also have to find some way to lengthen the tail boom. This means finding a longer belt as well, otherwise your tail blades get caught in the rotor wash and your tail will lose its effectiveness.
I'd also recommend making a taller mast, which means lengthening the swash servo arms...... but then you run into problems that the longer the blades, the heavier they are.... so you run the risk of a burnout in the esc or motor.... not to mention power consumption goes up......
Although it would be nice and stable:smokin:
bah.... you're better off getting a t-rex 500e
Carbons tails are fine with woodies....

Yep or even a hurricane 550 ,Ive got a blade 400 too twitchy, 550 ,lovely and you can even put 550mm blades on it to replace the 500mm.

My friend has a gaui, nice bird.... not so good for 3D though, also not that much room for batteries. The biggest issues is getting it enough current. He is running 2 kongpower 5000mah batts with a Z-Power 20 motor and it still isn't enough....

You can spin 335mm Blades on the Stock Blade 400 with NO modifications. No more danger of a boom strike with 335s then 325s.
I am flying 335mm Align Pros in this video.

well considering the standard eflite woodies are 335 I would hope so, but they will still boom strike given the right circumstances.
