Hi all....quick question,

Whats the practical benefit of going to a 7 point curve? I'm looking at finally going to 2.4 system and its between the DX7 and 9303. I have a 8103 right now and its programing is almost identical to the DX7 so that switch would be easy. I like some of the other features on the 9303 but what really interests me is the 7 point curves. I run governors in my machines so it wouldn't matter for the throttle. So, a question for all you 7 point curvers...with 7 points are you running non-linear curves? Are the benefits of running 7 point curves worth the extra investment if I've narrowed my choice down to just these two radios?

Thanks

Unless you're flying FAI or something where you need very fine control over your curves and such don't let that be a hang up. All my 3d machines are linear from 0 to 100, all I need is two points, and 5 is more than adaquate for scale.

I'm currently running the 9303 and for all my electric machines, my curves are linear. Generally 0-100-100, etc. On my nitro machines I'll use slight V-curves, but nothing that you really need 7 points for. Like Andy mentioned above... unless you're an FAI guy that really wants control over their curves, you won't ever really utilize them all.

thankyou guys...looks like you helped make up my mind to go with the DX7 as it has everything I needat a couple $100 cheaper.

Thanks

X9303 is still a nicer radio.

I use the 7 pt curve for normal spool up. 0 - 45 - 65 - 80 - Inh - Inh - 100.

Most other curves I am running 3 point curves, with the other points inhibited

I'm with Pine. It's not 7 point curves that make me like my 9303... it's many, many things. By the way, I have a 9303 and a DX7.

If you can afford it, get the 9303. You'll enjoy this radio for years to come.

If money is really tight, the DX7 is just fine. Tons 'o folks flying them and liking them.
