Hopefully you guys can help me out decide. From what I have read, it seems that the Phoenix sim is far better than Real Flight G4 as far as graphics and the flight physics are really close of the real thing. Is that really true? I just started to fly so I can’t really tell.

My problem is that I only have an E-flite Blade CP+ and in order to use the sim we have to use our own transmitter. Do you know which interface cable I need to use for the stock E-flite transmitter (futaba, hi-tec, sqare, round, etc)?
Yeah I could buy a futaba radio (6 or 7C) for my Blade CP but I don’t have extra cash for it right now. Do you think that I am better off getting a RF G4 instead since it comes with a transmitter?

Sorry if I am asking too many questions. Thanks.

I'm not sure what cable you'd need to use your current transmitter.

I haven't flown G4 but I did have G3.5... My opinion is that the physics and overall realism of Phoenix is much better. It's also not as demanding on your computer hardware, takes a lot less to run it smoothly at full detail.

Look at the back of your Tx and you tell us what you need :) BTW using your own Tx on the sim is highly beneficial .

Thank you all for your input. I am 90% sure that I will get the phoenix. I sort of remember that the trasnmitter has a round connector. But I checked that phoenix offers several round connectors cables in which it does't help. I will take a picture of the the back of the transmitter.

In terms of one sim being "better" than another, IMO there're both equally qualified to make you a better pilot. But Pheonix does have free updates.

Yeah, I have to agree that Phoenix offers free upgradres to fix bugs, new models, etc. In a sense it is one time investment instead of buying new version over and over. By the way, here is picture of the connector trainer for the stock e-flite transmitter. I hope that one of you guys can tell me what type of connector I need. If not I will email phonix tech support to find out. Thanks again for all the help
