:smokin:I was flying smoothly at my park and at 20 feet, the motor stopped suddenly for no reason.I made some autorotation and hit the grass!!!!!! I inspected the heli. but surprise, nothing broken(just the spindle shaft a little bit bented.I put the heli. down and try a restart and everything was good and continue to fly my batteries pack.I really dont now what going wrong at this moment and at this time it is a mistery.

The two reasons that come to mind for that is running too close to low battery activating a feature in the heli which drops the power or something binding some where causing the ECS to heat up and go into a low power mode.

Is your blade400 still stock from motor to drivetrain? You might be over amp or something. Or one of your motor leads are loose or even the deans connector was loose. I read a thread here that a 400 auto to the ground when the deans came loose and the heli lost power, he just broke one landing gear at 50ft of the ground. I know most of the lipos came from china but if its not too tight its too loose.

Yves I'm having a similar problem. mine goes to low power after about 2mins of flying i thought i had a bad battery (stock 1800 20c) but when i checked my battery before takeoff its holding 12.6v. when the power loss occurs i barely get it down safely pulled battery there is still 11.58v in it. I'm still trying to find the problem. there is no drag to create heat. Esc temp was 105 degs. 50 flights no crashes (yeah i cant believe it also) no bumpy landings.
Take a before and after battery volt ck.
I'm thinking bad esc on mine.

Mine had a bad esc out of the box. Got about 1 minute of flight before it went into low power. Replaced it and then later upgraded to the align esc/motor.

are they hot? what batt you using, zippy? connections too loose? have the older version of rx? consider an external bec?

yee haa....my first post here....
well anyway there are two diff ESC "cutouts" one is low voltage which is totaly diffrent than the "overheat" cutout. the ESC overheat drops power allot and the batt one is'nt quite so obvious. if your cutting out after a very short amount of time then it may be a overheat thing.
I have to thank HeliMix for this next little bit if input. when he had a overheat problem after a crash it ended up being a very slightly bent tail rotar shaft that ended up throwing the ESC over the edge, and triping the overheat function of the ESC. well I had the exact same problem it sounds like I went thru the exact same steps he did and then found a VERY VERY SLIGHTLY bent tail shaft, I changed it and that was the problem. so long story short it dos'nt seem to take much to set the ESC off into the overheat function IMO e-flight should have given the ESC a little bit more BEC I think it's just enough to get the stock setup going and if anything is changed then you'll have a problem.
enough of my rambling hopefully this helps ??

I had the same thing so I ordered a BEC and will instal it today or tomorrow and hopefully that will fix the problem. I will let everyone know.
