Just wanted to get a poll to see how many of the Freaks out there are going to be switching over the 12X. I'm still up in the air about what I want to do. X9303 or 12X? Hmmmm. Such a tough decision. Either way you go, you'll be getting a great radio no question... I guess it just depends on if you want to have the BEST or stick with 2nd best.
Let's take the vote! :)

The BEST would be a 12 or 14 ch color touchscreen. I am too used to using my 10X.
I'll be making the move for sure but not immediately as I want to see if there are any bugs before I take the plunge.
I currently have a 9x that I use for my helis and a 10x for fixed wing (my jets require all ten channels).
Can't wait to have just the one transmitter, shame I just had to buy a new battery for the 10x at a ridiculous £50

I agree.. I might make the move eventually, but it's going to take some time for me to make sure that I'm not a "beta tester" for this new TX.
I'm flying a 9303 and honestly, it's going to be hard to justify moving to the 12X, considering that I don't fly jets and aircraft that require anything more than 9 channels to date.
Maybe if I get enough $$, I'll splurge, but until then I'm just flying, flying, flying and spending my $$ on new helis and whatnot. But I can see having one eventually, too.

I can see no reason to move to the X12. I have researched it extensively; there is not 10 dollars worth of difference between it and the 9303. I read the manual three times. There are fantastic advantages for the large planker crowd but hardly any additions for the Hel Freaks; the 9303 is so good already. Basically you are paying $1500 to set the timer automatically. ( I always forget mine )
My JRX12 should arrive Friday.

horizon just back the 12X until late July.
I have always loved the 9303 from my sailplane days and now that I just bit the bullet on the 2.4 version I am not in a hurry to do the 12X. Besides, I would look like a right tool if I showed up to the field with a 12X and my Blade! The 9303 does more than I can so I will see myself using the extra grand and get a new bird or two.

it's a pretty radio, but $1,500 dammmmmmmmmm
I have a 2.4 x9303 and I love it. I would like the 12x, but can't justify the price difference for what amounts to bling for me!

My logic is if I buy anything other than the 12X I will keep looking at it and wanting it. So cheaper to just buy it first and not waste the money on a lesser model.

I hear you Tim, but just think of the new heli stuff you could buy with that extra $900+ dollars! I went with the X9303 and am 100% happy with it; no desire whatsoever for the 12X. If for some reason I change my mind I'll do what Jack said he did in another thread... spend some time with PhotoShop and make a 12X label to go on my X9303! ;)

Yeah.. .soon we'll all be putting stickers on our 9303's and before ya know it, we'll have "fake" 12X's running around everywhere. Haha.
Well, from the poll results, it shows that people that are definitely in for the 12X have just taken the lead over those sticking with or getting the X9303. What's interesting about the results is that it does prove that for the majority of those in this hobby, we do not buy products that are truly going to help better us in our flying, but more for the bling factor and just to have "the best".

I guess that means I'm in the minority... sort of. I do use as many features of the high-end radios as possible, and the quality feel of them does promote better flying on my part. I'm not really interested in the "bling factor", though I will admit that I prefer "the best" I can afford whenever possible. I much prefer to buy really good once and not have to be constantly upgrading as I outgrow stuff. The X9303 will not be outgrown by me anywhere in the foreseeable future, so it's all the radio I'll ever need or want, and it does promote better flying on my part. :P

Is there any chance the X9303 will be cheaper if the x12 is available ?

I doubt it for now. I think they have their pricing strategy down whereas the DX7 is the $~300 radio, the X9303 is the $600 radio, and the 12X is the uber $ radio. Until pricing pressure is put on JR by Futaba and the 7 and 9 channel prices drop, I don't see the X9303 getting much cheaper. Then again, I'm often wrong so who knows!
I love my X9303. I love how the 12x looks, the screen is so nice looking, and I'm sure it feels a bit better than my X9303. If I hit the lotto I'll buy one heeh!

Thanks for your estimate ! I think so too. The X9303 is in the middle price range for high quality transmitter and will be stable next time. I don't own it but I'm in the decision phase and to pay the twice for a better display and a good feeling...... Hm ?? I think "NO" The pilot makes the moves! Not the transmitter and in this quality stage the differents will be most minimal.
Cheers

for me that's correct :). I think though one could argue the 12x makes sense. I'm just not there myself lol. I'm sure it might feel a bit better gimble-wise. A few more options, the led, the better display etc... $1,500 is a bitter pill for me personally for a TX though. The $529 I spent for my X9303 and RX was alot for me, but I rationalized it b/c I wanted it over the DX7, which I'm sure would have done everything I need too. That said. People who are diehard into the hobby, or have the $ to spend might be in the same decision process as I was between the DX7 and the X9303.

Got my 12X last week. What a great transmitter.
You can try to justify all you want that the 9303 is all you need. But deep down you will still be lusting for a 12X. Glad I spent the money. Would do it again.

I've had my X9303 for about 8 weeks now, and I've played with a friend's 12X. I'm still 100% satisfied with my choice and not even the least bit tempted by the 12X. It's simply NOT worth 3X the price to me! Heck, I wouldn't pay twice the price. Maybe $200 more and that's about it...

I bought my 9303 just before the 2.4 models came out. I upgraded it with an XPS Module and RX. I havent looked back since. I use to be a Futaba guy and had to have the latest and greatest all the time, I even had a 14 MZ but sold all my stuff prior to my last deployment over in Iraq, Clintstone bought the MZ from me and he's probably still flyin it.
Anyway I love JR !! Much easier radio to use and when the 2.4 stuff came out I just bought the XPS Module and RX so no new radio just for the 2.4. Dont need the extra channels of the 12 so I am sticking with my older 9303 ..
