I've been having a small bit of twisting while doing forward tumbles and I think it may have something with the phasing in the alignment of the washout guide.

How should the washout guide pins be aligned? I have mine 90 degrees with the flybar. I've also have notice some slop in the slots for the pins, could this be cause a small amount of twist in the swashplate?

The balls on the inner part of your swash should be aligned with your fly bar and blade grips. In other words if your flybar is straight front to back and main blades to the side, both the inner and outer balls on the swash should be aligned. If you have your guide pins 90 degrees to the fly bar you are definately out of phase. To check the phaseing on the bench put your flybar front to rear and move your elevator stick up and down, your paddles should not move at all (unless you give it some aileron accidently).

929pilot,

Thanks, I made the adjustment, I'll give it a try tomorrow.
