I recently and unintentionally acquired a vibration problem with my EP200 . I changed the main gear because it was an elliptical shape as opposed to a circle, and I'm putting a new pinion on to fix the pinion to main gear mesh problem I had. I also think that my blade tracking might've been off, or possibly my blades were really unbalanced. I'm still not positive on what could've caused the vibration, but I'm slowly and surely working on it to get it fixed. I think that with all the things above I've probably covered almost everything that could cause a vibration like that in my case, since I hadn't crashed it, the choices were lowered. If I balance the main blades, make sure my tracking spot on, change the pinion and main gear, I'll probably get it fixed. Anyway, the reason I started this thread was to get some tips on how to put the pinion back on the motor shaft :o, and balance the blades since the holes are too small to use my 450 balancer. I also was wondering what linkages in the head to adjust to get the blade tracking correct since it doesn't tell you in the manual like it does for the T-Rex. Thanks in advance.

I feel your pain HeliCuz, chasing a vibration is never fun until you find it. On tracking blades I have been adjusting the long link that goes from the swash up to the flybar mixing arms. As to balancing the blades, you said you had a 450 blade balancer. I am assuming you are talking about the threaded rod with two blue conical knurled knobs that screw on from either end of the rod and pinch the blades together?? You can use this balancer even with the small holes in the 200's blades. I came across this on some other site and thought it pretty clever. If you are using the HS45 servos there is a long servo arm included that you can use with the balancer. See attached pic. I like to use the blade grip screws from the heli since they factor in to the balance as well. The middle hole on each end is the exact same spacing as if the blades were on the heli. Works great :YeaBaby:

I can't take credit for it. I saw it on another site. I'm still saying "why didn't I think of that" Thanks anyway. Glad to help out.
