You need to look at the directions closely. You are probably missing the washer needed between the fan and the motor. It is the stock OS washer included with the motor. I see you have the PS. I assume you are using the stock PS. If not you may have removed the aluminum cooling adaptor on the back of the motor and need the carbon spacer provided in the kit.
The gap will be less than that tool. The tool really is not used any more as the gap is preset. The problem is that you need to follow the directions correctly for it to work.
Let me know if you found the problem. It is probably that you left the washer out. No big deal, just remove the fan, install the washer, then install and redial indicate the fan.

Hi freddy
Do you mean when you are putting the engine into the two pins in the clutch when putting it into the frame of the heli?
If so, I normally use a clamp on the top of the clutch shaft and the bottom of the engine and gently clamp it all together. While it is clamped, I secure all the bolts that are required and it goes together fine. Like Eric said, the tool is generally larger than the gap.
Hope this helps

I mean: when i pushed the fan/motor unit enough ok the delrin ball, so i can screw the motor on it's mount, the gab is about twice as big as the stock washer...

Ok I might be lost here. Is this an extreme or Stratus? If it is the Stratus something has to be missing.
If it is an extreme then the dampeners are tight. I lube them with a little talc when installing. Mine slide right together without much trouble. Also if it is an extreme, the engine mount is adjustable.
I will be gone until Monday at an event so hope that helps some. I will check back Mon.

Try loosening all the screws on the motor mount..there are 4 in the front and 2 that go all the way thru....then install the motor mount bolts,, losely dont make any of them tight at this time...then slide the motor mount and engine up with the gap tool installed.. I do this with the frame upside down on a table... I apply a firm amount of pressure on the engine and tighten all the bolts...
Hope this helps
