The thing on the front of the YS engine is not a pump,it is a fuel regulator.

Regulator, pump, pulsation fuel regulation system, positive displacement fuel system, whatever. I just want to see the build videos. Don't sweat it Bob, we understand.

Thanks,
Ken

See my video #1 for the Aurora... I already quoted this "word" mistake and laughed about it :)

Guys every video I have ever made (well not every but a few) has SOMETHING in it that I said something and did something different... Many that know my videos call this a "Finless OH by the way" thing.
I do the best I can on my videos and sometimes my "words" are not right. I do my best to correct what I say vs what I show in a follow up video in the build series.

All I can say is I shoot RAW and sometimes I make a VERBAL mistake... I try my best to FIX it on the next part of the build series.

For those that want to NIT PICK... all I can say is YOU try to do videos like this and NOT make a mistake at some point! To err is human is all I can say... My videos are human folks and yes they may have some mistakes..... But I believe and trust the overall content is accurate.

That's the BEST I can do..... I am just a HUman and not perfect :(

I wouldn't worry about it Bob. I think the bigger issue at hand is the idea that someone who thinks they are so smart to pick out stupid stuff, can't build the kit all on their own, and therefore needs to watch someone else explain it and then nag about it. Get a life dude!

Keep on keepin' on Finless. I for one, would probably not still be in this hobby without your vids-mistakes and all! Thank you for what you do.

My favorite line is from the Mikado motor mount vid....."as you can see, I have a screw loose.." :)

I thought this heli was under development so long and delayed ad-nauseum to be perfect upon release? Why are you grinding anything to fit one of the top two engines used on these things?

OS91 SZ-H pumped and non-pumped, OS 91 C-Spec, YS 91st4, and YS 91SR. Not sure if I agree with one of top two. Considering the SR is still a relatively new entry to market within the last year or so I'm not so sure I'd be ready to light the torches and break out the pitchforks.....

Simple question, no pitchforks. I'm referring to brands. Is this an issue with just the YS 91SR, or is it a YS issue in general?

I think I just read in the actual video thread that the SR will require a new mount from Avant? That's understandable, as like you said, it's a fairly new engine...albeit not THAT new.

See, amongst all the ooohs and aaahs, these are the kinds of things people need to know.

BTW, comparing a C-Spec to any YS engine is blasphemy

The SR is new and that motor mount was made for the OS91 and older YS 91. Avant can supply you a pre modded motor mount if you like so you dont have to do the grinding yourself. But the grinding is a small amount of about 1/16"

The YS 91 ST is the same as far as the regulator, the mount will need to be modified even if you use an older YS 91.

You are correct,th YS 91 ST will reqiure the same mod. This heli was designed around Futaba and OS.
2 years ago the OS was the choice of engines, now the most of the team pilots are using the YS 91SR and JR 8717 servo's.

G MAN, this is incorrect information. The profile of the YS SR is slightly different causing the regulator to be lower on the engine vs the YS ST. YOU DO NOT need to mod the motor mount for the YS ST period. This is straight from Avant so don't take my word for it go ask them. The mount is the same used in the Avant FX/EFX and the YS ST mounted with NO MOD.

Why don't they just provide the new YS motor mount in the kit? Surely they have had time to think or sort this element out as the engine has been out for over 12 months? Something is wrong if you have to take a dremel to a brand new £799 kit!
As for manually driving a fan hub onto YS engine as it’s originally for OS, thread, what DTI readings are people getting on this mod? I tried this on two raptor 90 hubs and couldn’t get them below 3 thou.

I would rather see a kit where you have a choice of engine/thread. I.e. you order your kit and the shop adds these parts "choice" separately.

So, when can we expect to see the G MAN video with all the correct language?

Thanks finless for all the videos, great stuff, regardless of any faux pas!
